From 1971 to 1990, Folke Klint started and ran the consultancy firm Profilator, from which NCM Development later emerged. From the very outset, the company specialised in centre management and shopping centre development. The first major clients were Punkt/MultiCenter in Västerås, Femman/Nordstan in Göteborg and Caroli City in Malmö.
Starting in 1991 the company laid the foundation for close cooperation with Norwegian, Finnish and Danish partners. Nordic Center Management (NCM) was founded and later merged with the Swedish company, renamed NCM Profilator.
Between 1995 and 2001 a number of new partners were added, including Bo Appelgren, Bo Carlson, Bert Larsson and Gunnar Hjorth, and they served as active consultants. Operations grew significantly, with briefs in administration, shopping mall development and international accounts. In 1998, NCM Profilator secured major development contracts in Latvia and the other Baltic States.
In 2003, Estatius Holding, a joint venture between WPM in Holland and Donaldsons in England, became the new principal owner of NCM Profilator together with shopping centre expert Christer Larsson, previously with Piren/Rodamco.
In 2004 Donaldsons became sole owner of the Estatius Group and subsequently reprofiled the corporation to create Donaldsons Europe. NCM Profilator was renamed NCM Donaldsons.
In 2005 NCM Donaldsons became principal owner of NCM Sentrumutvikling in Noway, who was renamed NCM Donaldsons.
In 2006, I took over the position of CEO in Swedish NCM Donaldsons.
In 2007 DTZ became new owner of Donaldsons Europe , As well as one of the principal owners of NCM Donaldsons.
In June 2009 DTZ/Donaldsons Europe seceded from the Swedish company, which changed its name to NCM Development.
